Salvage
Lois Williams (Nancy Gates) rats out a gangster to the police in order to save herself, but years later Dan Varrel (Gene Barry), the brother of the dead man is released from prison after taking the rap and hunts down Lois and threatens to kill her. However, Dan shows leniency and instead proposes a deal where if he can put up the money she will run a legitimate business for him so that he can prove to his parole that he has gone straight. All goes smoothly and the viewer is puzzled by his "what is he up to?" routine, until Nancy reveals she is going to marry her sweetheart Tim Grady (Peter Adams).

TRIVIA
•Gene Barry makes his second appearance of the series (he was one of the gunmen in "Triggers In Leash").

SPOILERS
When Nancy confesses to Dan she has nothing to live for after he initially confronts her, Dan decides it is too easy just to kill her, as it would appear his actions would be doing her a favour. He bides his time and waits until her business is thriving and she is on the verge of marriage and has everything to live for - then Dan makes his move. Twisted!

IN MY HUMBLE OPINION...
There's a delightful comical moment in the opening segment when Hitchcock gets up out of his chair and praises his staff for their involvement in the making of the films, when all of a sudden a large prop falls from above and crushes the chair.
